Our apps collect no personal data.

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no names or email addresses.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.
  • Your settings stay on your device.
  • Our apps never send anything to us. We don't run servers for them.

Who we are

Bricks Learning makes educational apps. This policy covers all our apps, including Spiky RC, and our websites brickslearning.com and spikyrc.com.

Spiky RC: what the app uses, and why

  • Bluetooth. To find and connect to your SPIKE Prime hub, send it the drive program and your driving commands, and read its motor positions and battery level. This traffic goes only between your device and the hub.
  • Motion sensors. The Wheel and Race remotes read how you tilt the device to steer. The readings are used in the moment and never stored or sent anywhere.
  • Sound. Engine sounds are generated on the device. The app does not use the microphone.
  • Settings on your device. The app saves your choices on the device itself: which remote, speed, sound and engine you picked, how your hub's ports are set up, and the dashboard's distance counter. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Optional upgrades, such as Spiky RC Pro, are one-time in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app only learns from Apple whether the upgrade is unlocked. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the purchase.

Children

Our apps are made for children to use with a grown-up nearby. Because they collect no personal information at all, they collect none from children. They show no ads and have no chat, sharing or links out of the app. A grown-ups-only question appears before any purchase.

This website

brickslearning.com and spikyrc.com set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own sites, not from third parties. Like any website, our hosting provider handles technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure; we don't use it to identify you.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about privacy, write to us and we'll answer.

Changes

If any of our apps ever starts handling personal data, or we add a new app that works differently, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
